Winter Vacation

I hope you all have had a wonderful week.
It's been busy here in Baltimore!

December is flying by - I know some folks are taking time off. Please remember to complete your monthly reports by January 4th.

Many of you start-up programs have established matches in the past month.
In January, please start having your mentors complete their Monthly Activity Reports (attached), and keep those in their files.

I'll be out of the office Dec. 23rd-January 4th. I'll be checking email, but probably won't respond as quickly as I usually do.

I'm fortunate to have such amazing people on the team. Looking forward to getting you together at mid-year.

Welcome

Across the country, we see the effects incarceration has on families, and especially on children.

This blog was created as a discussion forum for AmeriCorps Members working on mentoring programs for children of incarcerated parents across the country.

It is so valuable to hear about the similarities and differences, successes and challenges, and inspirations and frustrations we have encountered serving children, families, and mentors.

I hope this blog will connect us by providing a space for discussion, questions and answers, and inspiration as we work with a common mission in different programs in different places.
